An Indictment

Insurrection, Usurpation, Incompetence. Did I miss anything?

A decent respect for the opinions of mankind requires that we should declare the causes which impel us to indict him for insurrection, delinquency of duty, and despotism.

He has suborned foreign leaders to fabricate charges against a rival candidate for office, and traded our military capacities for personal benefit. He has sent our armies and fleets to foreign places as Mercenaries, demanding payments for deployments rather than extending our power only in the use of national interest. He has pardoned those guilty of war crimes, and dismissed officers who told the Truth of his actions under oath. He has surrounded himself with infamous and disloyal persons, and called for the enemies of free government to assemble in defiance and promote racist, homophobic, and anti-Semitic claims against their fellow citizens. He has threatened trusted allies and peaceful neighbors with no decency or respect for the opinions of Mankind. He has pretended to unlimited power, and claimed the right to try and judge himself with pardon, and extend such pardons to others under pecuniary interest or with demands of false testimony. He has accepted Emoluments and personal benefits from foreign nations, potentates, and princes, while letting out the services of government for profit. He has disregarded his duty to protect the people from plague. He has wasted his office in recreations and diversions unfit for a leader. He has called for the overturning of our elections, and attempted to make our Supreme Court do his personal bidding against evidence, judgment, and precedent. He has incited insurrection against the Legislative branch,  made threats against the person of the Vice President, and brought upon our territories the merciless Michigan militias, whose known rule of warfare is kidnapping and menacing our legislators and governors. He has denied our legislation, and sought to evade congressional approval through the permanent use of acting appointees beholden to none but himself. He has summoned mobs to attack our legislators, and at the same time employed unaccountable officers to gas and beat lawful protest by citizens seeking redress of grievances. He has attacked the integrity of our courts by insulting the ancestry of our judges, and by asking for officers of the law to commit violence on persons without due process. He has given refuge to the disloyal while excluding from our shores immigrants of other sects. He has purged the government of these states of its professional and competent advice, and instead made alterations to hurricane maps with a Sharpie. 

When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design of reducing us to absolute Despotism, it is our right, our duty, to throw off such ruler, and to provide new Leadership for our future security.
