Cheering for a Dictator

Trump promises to seize all power.

The Authoritarian personality is common—1/3 of Americans have what Theodore Adorno called in 1950 “High F,” meaning strong fascist tendencies. But here’s a perfect example of how this personality type gets activated by politicians. Watch Donald Trump vow to become a dictator on his very first day in office, and listen for the crowd shouting “Yeah!”  and applauding.

They want democracy overthrown. They want a dictator.
