Oh thats a shame, don't know why this came up in my feed since this is a couple of years old post. But what i've said in response has been proven more relevant, in the case of its application to the lefts actions.
" alienation, lack of trust, insecurity, the inability to have confidence in our collective future — that it actually creates, rather than resolves. Tribalism increases polarization, alienation increases distrust, and we enter a self-defeating, downward spiral. Authoritarians want their own particular identity, meaning, and belonging, and in the process are destroying our collective identity, meaning, and belonging."

People who supported the many damaging things governments did to their nation's economies and societal fabric, which increased things mentioned above like isolation and loss of meaning in life when people stopped doing things they did regularly before, like their jobs and visit their families.
Despite these clearly visible and tangible negative effects, the people who outrageously supported the governments that adopted these damaging measures and who also attacked their peers who didn't go along with the governments actions and challenged mainstream narratives where the real authoritarians of this day. And this all intensified dramatically well after Trump left office.

Are you kidding? Did you not see all the violence perpetrated by the likes of Antifa and similiar groups and the destruction they brought on people's private property and businesses for an entire year, throughout much of 2020?
